Hey people!!!! I’m baaaacckk! I am so sorry about being away so long. I had mentioned on my Taking a Blog Break post that I would be gone about a month. Well, I had been preparing for my return the week before the month break was up. I had worked on a few posts that week to be scheduled to post the following week. Then at the end of the week, I accidentally drowned my phone! AHH! Not cool!
The way I have my WordPress account set up is that if I try logging on with any device other than my phone, a code is required, for security purposes. I do 95% of my blogging on my phone. After logging on, a code is texted to my phone to finish the log in process. Well, since I had no phone I could not receive the code, therefore I could not log into WordPress to blog. Bummer! Well, I had to wait 3 weeks for my new iPhone SE to come in the mail. Now I can blog again!
Thank you so much for your patience! Let me give you an update to what is going on other than this phone-wordpress fiasco.
Hubby and I are going to be putting our house up for sale so that we can find another hopefully bigger house that has more land either in the Charlotte, North Carolina region, or just over the state border in South Carolina. We are trying to do this as soon as possible while the housing market where we live is still hot.
J is fantastic at building custom cabinets and has also taken on making concrete countertops. Right now he works for a cabinet company. However, for a few years already he has been wanting to start his own cabinet/ woodworking business. Us moving is the first step in making this dream a reality for him. We want to get a house that has a good amount of land for his workshop. J and I are hoping that we can find the right house for us by the time we sell this current house. However, if we don’t find one by that point, we will lease an apartment.
This time off from blogging has given me the time I needed to help start getting our current house ready to be sold. We have been doing a lot of cosmetic updates in the house to make it more appealing. There is still lots more to do, but I didn’t want to stay too long away from blogging. However, because of the on-going need to ready our house and packing, I will be taking down my weekly blog postings from 3 to 2 times a week until we sell and move into our new home. I will continue “My Monday” and then do another post on Wednesdays which will either be a fashion or lifestyle post.
So that’s the low-down with the that. Also, I have put myself on a workout regimen. I bought a workout program by Kayla Itsines . I found her Instagram and she posts submitted pictures of girl’s “before and after” pictures to show their workout results. There are so many wonderful “after” pics that I figured this workout program was worth buying. I bought it for $69.99. The only thing I quickly realized that I didn’t like about it was that it is a digital file you have to download. I would have much rather preferred an actually workout book or video set. It is a little hard considering I haven’t done any hardcore workouts since before I was pregnant. However, I like how the weekly workouts start less intense and then gets progressively harder every couple of weeks. It helps ease me into it the workout routine. I am now into the program 4 weeks and already I have had amazing results. I didn’t take a “before” shot because I just didn’t care to compare myself. I am not looking to be supermodel skinny. I believe strong and healthy is more beautiful than looking like a model. So if you are interested in a good workout program, get Kayla Itsines!
Also Mother’s day was fantastic! My husband took me out to lunch at my favorite place Rush Espresso Cafe and Wine Bar in Charlotte, NC. I got to wear this cool Charlotte Russe dress with my awesome Aldo wedge sandals !
I am so glad to be back! Love you all!!! See ya Wednesday!
